Cookstown 100 (25 - 26 April)

The Cookstown 100 is Ireland’s longest-running motorcycle road race, held annually on the thrilling Orritor Circuit, a 2.1-mile course featuring fast straights and tight corners, making it a challenging track. Since 1922, this iconic event marks the season opener for Irish road racing and attracts top riders from across Ireland, the UK, and beyond. There are spectator friendly viewing points, allowing fans to get close to the action. The track has narrow country roads that have been conquered by notable road racing legends past and present – Joey Dunlop, Guy Martin and Ryan Farquhar to name a few. Expect a thrilling atmosphere with close-up action as riders return for another year of speed, craic and enjoyment on county Tyrone.

Cookstown Continental Market (10 - 11 May)

May in Cookstown brings the return of Cookstown Continental Market for two days. Market Place Europe will be back with over 50 stallholders from across Europe to sample and enjoy. There will be lots of mouth watering cuisines on offer including Mexican burritos and Italian pizza, and the hugely popular Dutch flowers will be back. A variety of entertainment and live music will be on offer including local bands Juice and the Swingtime Starlets. 

Bluegrass Omagh Music Festival (24 - 25 May)

If you’re looking for things to do in Omagh, you must get a taste of its famous Bluegrass Festival. As the largest bluegrass festival outside of North America, you’re in for a toe-tappin’, knee-slappin’ treat. So, start finger-pickin’ your favourite bluegrass masters from the USA, Australia and Europe, plus the very best acts from across the UK and Ireland. Your jam-packed weekend takes place over two days in the unique setting of the Ulster American Folk Park this May. Bringing you live performances from top bluegrass bands from across the globe. This is a festival for all ages to celebrate the rich musical heritage of those who lived in Ulster many years ago with a hearty welcome, wholesome food, and artisan craftwork. This year, there will be a new addition of some traditional and folk music. Come along to this unforgettable weekend of foot-stompin' rhythms from world-class musicians.

Welcome the summer solstice (21 June)

Here, you’ll observe the night sky as it is rarely viewed and experience how it would have been seen by your ancient ancestors. You’ll learn the fascinating history and significance of the stone circles from insightful locals who know more than a thing or two about stars.
