Set within the rural landscape of the townland of Ballykenver in County Antrim is Ballykenver Farm, home to Amanda Hanna and her family, who have lived and worked this land for 4 generations. An award winning pudding maker and dairy farmer, Amanda has a warmth and generosity of spirit that allows her to invite people into her home and share her passion for local food and drink. What started with a batch of rhubarb jam has grown into a selection of preserves created by Amanda and available for sale in the onsite farm shop.
Join Amanda at her farmhouse kitchen table for a feel good food experience. Indulge in a delicious selection of homemade treats including some local specialities as Amanda demonstrates how to make one of her delicious preserves. Relax with good food and great company while learning the skill of preserve making. A natural storyteller, Amanda shares insights into farm life and local history. Be greeted by the warm smell of home baking and indulge in a feast of local and seasonal treats. In the company of friends, Amanda entertains with an interactive demonstration of lemon curd making while sharing insights into farm life, past and present. Take away a pot of fresh lemon curd and finish with a browse in the onsite farm shop.
