The F.E. McWilliam Gallery and Studio is dedicated to the memory of Banbridge-born sculptor Frederick Edward McWilliam, one of Ireland’s most influential and successful artists. Frederick Edward McWilliam was born in Banbridge on the 30th April 1909. He died in London in 1992 and the executors of his estate donated the sculptor's studio and its contents to the town of his birth.
The Gallery and studio houses the collection in a superb exhibition facility of Gallery, sculpture garden and reconstructed studio. It also provides café, craft shop and a tourist information point.
Gallery Talks and Tours: Gallery staff are on hand at all times to assist the public with information and to respond to enquiries. Group tours may be arranged by appointment.
Crafts at the Gallery: The gallery showcases beautifully handcrafted products made by talented designers and craftspeople including a wide range of jewellery, ceramics, fashion accessories and other gifts.
Quails at the Gallery offers the award-winning and high quality foods for which this family-run business is renowned. The café is open Monday to Saturday from 09:00-17:00
There are various art and craft workshop for adults and children which can be found on the website. School Visits- Primary and post primary groups are very welcome. Visits may be arranged by appointment.
