Surrounded by the beautiful Mourne Mountains and within a five minute walking distance to the small rural village of Attical. An area of outstanding natural beauty this location is an ideal base to explore the nearby Mountains, local towns and fishing villages. The area is popular with many tourists, hillwalkers, cyclists, rock climbers and golfers. Walking routes are easily accessible from the cottage by foot or car. Ideally your own vehilce would be the easiest mode of transport to explore the surrounding areas.

Uncover the hidden history of smuggling in the Mourne Mountains along the Brandy Pad Trail. This track was created by smugglers over hundreds of year, carving a path across the mountain landscape.

If mountain biking is your thing Castlewellan Forest Park, Tollymore Forest Park, Kilbroney Forest Park are within a 20 minute drive by car. We have a garage where you can safely store your bikes and gear.

Popular golf courses near by include Royal County Down, Kilkeel Golf Club,Warrenpoint Golf Club all within a short drive, and Greenore Golf Club which can be accessed via the local ferry service based in Greencastle, Co Down.
