About
The Clanrye River is a medium sized river (12 miles, 5-20m) with good brown trout fishing. Pike and small minnow frequent the waters and in the summer months you will find a run of sea trout.
Fishing is often at its best from early season to late May as after this the water levels can start to drop. Fly and worm fishing are the only permitted methods, under no circumstances can you fish from boats or use maggots. There is a size limit of 11 inches (any smaller must be returned) and a bag limit of 3 fish per day.
Anglers must have club membership and a rod licence if they are to fish in the river.
Convenient parking is signposted and available close by.
